Commission for 20th Anniversary of Katrina

I was honored to be the chosen artist by Where y'Art Works to create this work of art of Touro Hospital for the 20th Anniversary of Katrina. The elements in the painting, by request of LCMC, are the Tree of Life, the hospital itself, the community and "the place where babies come from", and water. I depicted Touro as part of and rising out of the roots of the tree,our city, sustaining the community, and the Mississippi River flowing through the roots, sustaining life. Touro was founded in 1842 and I placed that on the building facade.
