I took a photo of this spectacular sunset last summer in Waveland MS. I paint stories & this one is evolving . 2women looking at their laptops. What are they doing? Are they communicating with each other? Are they engaging with each other at all? Are they sisters? Lovers? Spouses? Mother & daughter? Best friends? Are they happy? Mad? Sad? Of course they are mostly engaged with their devices because that’s the thing people are most engaged with now rather than each other.
I thought a lot about this as the characters came to life on my canvas but I’m not sure what their deal is but they’re sitting in such a beautiful setting!
