These are part of the "Outer Space Backward & Forward" series. The antique photographs I found in some old stuff of mine I was digging through. They are Citadel class photographs from 1909 that belonged to my long deceased stepfather. They have been recreated as a modern army with women, trasn, LGBTQ cadets. My 1st venture into assemblage art and it was fun! As I worked on these I realized that I was carrying over some themes from my painting. And subtle whit!

Walter Wolfman Washington, a much beloved part of the music culture of New Orleans, is part “The Gospel According to New Orleans”, my collection of iconic New Orleans musicians, commemorates their role in the evolution of the eccentric culture and music traditions of New Orleans. All depicted in this series are musical and cultural icons who make, or live on through, their significant contributions to the uniqueness of what composes the spirit of New Orleans. They exemplify the joie de vivre that runs through all aspects of life here in all of its diversity.
